Katie Chowdhury
Katie Chowdhury grew up in Palm Bay, Florida with her parents and older sister. She currently lives in Gainesville, Florida with her husband, dog and bird. Katie received her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Florida. Katie has been teaching Kindergarten at Newberry Elementary for three years. She loves teaching because she can impact so many young lives. Katie enjoys going to Florida Gator games, reading, camping and spending time with her family.

Kristen Shumbera graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida in May 2003. After graduation she moved to Gainesville, Florida with her husband Brad Shumbera, where she began her career teaching at M.K. Rawlings Elementary. Recently, she graduated from the University of Florida with a Masters in Elementary Education in May 2007. She has been involved in several school activities and had the distinct honor of receiving Teacher of the Year for M.K. Rawlings Elementary for the 2006-2007 school year.
